Recent experiences have prompted me to write this blog post, as after all I began this page to help other people like me. Those going through the ups and downs of raising a child with a disability.

Over the last few months my emotions have somewhat spiralled and then last week I saw an instagram post...

In light of recent events surrounding the controversial topic of 'midget wrestling’ I feel it is now time to put forward my feelings and stand with the rest of the loving community that has welcomed us with open arms.

The subject has been particularly hard for me to digest for two main reasons. One...

Wow where has the last 12 (well 13 now) months gone.. I don't think a year has ever moved so fast! And what a year it has been. Thrust into motherhood three weeks early, hit with an unexpected diagnosis of dwarfism, a stay in the hospital and an absolute emotional rollercoaster, but I wouldn't have...

It's been quite a while since I last posted on here, life has quite abruptly been getting in the way - but I will go into that in another post - and I thought what better way to reintroduce myself than with a review of our favourite baby class.. if you don't already know what I'm going to say then y...

Recently we signed up to be part of the Pampers Squad and applied to complete their first mission - to try out for ourselves and share our experience using their premium protection active fit nappy pants..

So it's come to that time.. the dreaded return to work. I have happily been in denial that it's even happening at all but recently I have come crashing back to reality with a bang.

It all started when I finally pulled my finger out and decided to go and look at nurseries. I had blindly assured myself...

So I've decided it's about time we tackled Callum's sleeping habits in particular his daytime naps.

Callum's naps have always been irregular and very much led by him, but this has made for wobbly bedtimes filled with tears and frustrations.

He used to be a good little sleeper but with teething and s...

So last week we had our second appointment at Alder Hey and this time we went to the Endocrinology department.

Before our appointment my only knowledge was that they deal with hormones.. and after, well that's pretty much the same ha! Although I did get the impression that our Dr will be more concern...

So its not been long since my original weaning post, but Callum is doing so well with his eating that I thought it would be good to update you on his routine.

He is now almost 8 months old and has been eating 3 meals a day, with a "proper" meal at tea time. Before I was giving him combination purees...

A few weeks after finding out that I was pregnant, Damion and I went to Reykjavik for my 30th birthday. Whilst we were there we bought a Puffin teddy for our growing bundle of joy. The puffin has since become an icon for our baby and months later my idea for  'The Little Puffin' was born.

The Little Puffin set out to  be an honest journey through pregnancy and into parenthood. Now it something greater, our experience with our very own little person, and our greatest achievement, Callum.

I hope you enjoy it.
